CA churches against equal rights

This list seems to be getting deleted from a number of sites, perhaps because bigots hate the light of exposure. Whatever the reason, Mojoey managed to resurrect it and I’m going to post it here so there will be several sources for this information.

If you were against prop. 8 but belong to one of these churches you may want to ask your pastor why your congregation has chosen to support the denial of equal rights. Ask why Christians should be able to make everyone in the state, regardless of their own beliefs, follow your beliefs. Ask if they understand the separation of church and state as written in the Constitution of the U.S. Ask if they grasp the fact that by allowing the Christian church to legislate their beliefs they’ve opened a door for every religion to demand that state law, even national law, represent their beliefs. Will these churches stand up in support of including Muslim beliefs into our law, Scientology’s beliefs? Ask your pastor if they understand the difference between populism and democracy. Ask them if they support the notion of America becoming a theocracy like Iran.

It is too bad that you are blinded by “your” beliefs to understand and accept someone elses beliefs. Since gays civil unions presently have all the benifits and rights of a man/women marriage, what is your point then? The act of a marriage is a designated biblical event between a man and a woman. Since you choose a gay lifestyle and live in denial with your belief that you were born that way, what does marriage matter to you or any other gay person? I don't get what all the fuss is about. Is it so importnat that you desicrate some ones elses beliefs just to feel accepted? What is the point?

Civil unions are not recognized outside the state they were created within.
How would you like to travel to a neighboring state only to find you weren't
married anymore? Federal marriage benefits are not extended to those in
civil unions. Marriage predates Christianity by thousands of years. The
Bible approves of multiple-wife marriages and arraigned marriages.
Supporters of 8 would rather deny thousands of their civil rights than
accept the idea that definitions change all the time. I guess words are more
important than people to them. Granting others civil rights in no way
diminishes yours. Finally, religion has no place in a secular government. If
you want a theocracy, what will you say when your state decides to base its
    laws on the Koran?

Development of digital technologies occurs prompt rates. Does not lag behind progress and digital TV. Speaking about digital TV, we first of all mean satellite TV. The digital satellite TV becomes more and more accessible to simple users. The market paid satellite tv also is not necessary on a place. The new digital standard of TV of high clearness HDTV actively develops and takes root. The satellite TV becomes more and more directed on the spectator. Besides digital quality of the image, advantage of satellite systems also is also the extensive cover zone of the companion.

People who post their opinon's on voting yes or no on Prop. 8 need to ask only one question, what does the Bible say about homosexuality. It states not once not twice but numourous times, it is a sin to be so. If you belive the word of God is the Bible, how can you deny His word.

  8. jeber
    21. March 2009 um 21:29

Actually the Bible says nothing about homosexuality, since Bronze age
herders knew nothing of sexual orientation. The Bible condemns homosexual
behavior, and when it does it's almost exclusively in the context of
heterosexual men practicing homosexual acts. Besides, I don't accept the
Bible as anything more than an ancient text of superstitious belief.

Hey, I love how the Religious types attempt to tell others that they “choose” to be gay and they want to deny that fact that a person that is Gay is born that way.

Here is the funny thing about these hypocrites that claim to follow Jesus. To them it is immoral to be gay and yet they stand before us today claiming being the same group that supported a war based on lies that lead to the death, murder of millions. they didn't protest this kind of immoral act but instead, they re-elected their Christian leader that started it all, even after they learned he tortured. not one of them stood up against the clearly immoral acts and yet they have a problem with gay marriage? I guess it is ok to kill and torture even when the bible is clear, thou shalt not kill, love your enemies, do unto others…..

However, it would appear if they read their bibles or the “word of God” they would learn that a person that is gay is gay because god made them that way.

“Yet ALL is of God” (II Cor. 5:18)

The word all would ..um…mean ALL. So if a person is Gay, it is of God.

I didn't find a scripture that say “yet all is NOT of God”…did you?

No matter what is happening, it is of God is controlling it: “God is operating ALL in all” (I Cor. 12:6)
No, we can't find a scripture that says God is not operating (controlling the function) all in all.

“…Who works [‘operates’] ALL THINGS after the counsel of His own will” (Eph. 1:11).

“For OF Him, and THROUGH Him, and TO Him, are ALL THINGS…” (Rom. 11:36).

yeah, we will hear excuses from christians that tell us All doesnt mean all and doesn't included what they call evil. OOOOPS…they would be wrong again.

    “I create EVIL” (Isa. 45:7)

So if being gay is evil, then it is again of God and against supports the scriptures that tell us “yet all is of God”. Being gay, is of God.

their god makes it clear that he makes the wicked people for the evil day. not the choice of those they call wicked. it is God..again.

“The Lord has made…the WICKED for the day of EVIL” (Prov. 16:4).

But the christian will say the the gay person decides to do what they do even when God continues to say “yet all is of God” so apparently, their god attempting to make it clear.

“…has not the Potter [God] the right… to make… one [vessel] for DISHONOR?” (Rom. 9:19-25).

apparently, their god things he is the potter of all and we are the clay. apparently, sometimes their god decides to make some for dishonor or maybe sometimes he makes a gay person to do what the do.

they will still tell us that it is men is of himself and us men that direct our steps to decide to do what we do. but their God has a different opinion.

“O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself. It is not in man that walks to direct his steps” (Jer. 10:23).

yeah, as a matter of fact, if a man has sex with another man, it is the christian god that appointed a time for it to happen.

[1] “To every thing there is a season [appointed time],and a time to every purpose [matter or event] under the heaven” (Ecc. 3:1).

    AND:

[2] “I know that, whatsoever God does…NOTHING can be put to it, nor ANYTHING taken from it: and GOD does it” (Ecc. 3:14).

“…for He has appointed a time for every matter, and for every work…” (The New Revised Standard Version).

“For He has set a season for every event and for every deed…” (The Concordant Literal Old Testament).

yeah, again, it would seem that when god said “yet all is of him” he really meant it. the moral christians are not going to like this.

yeah, the christian would try to say that evil acts are not committed by their moral god but again, their god doesn't agree.

“What? Shall we receive good at the hand of God and shall we not receive EVIL” (Job 2:10).

“…shall there be EVIL in a city, and the Lord has not done it?” (Amos 3:6).

Wow, did you catch that, again, it supports the scripture that says “yet all is of God”. again, if one is gay then it is god that decided they would be gay and appointed the very time for it to happen.

not only did he appoint the time for it to happen he planned it from the beginning.

“Declaring the END from the BEGINNING…” (Isa. 46:10).

wow, this god seems to think he is all powerful that “yet all is of God”. the nerve of him.

so when they want to blame gays for doing something or deciding to be gay they should remember their god's words “I am the Vine, ye are the branches: He that abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit, for without ME YE CAN DO NOTHING” (John 15:5).

because apparently, we can do nothing if god doesn't make it happen.

    peace

    16. May 2009 um 23:29

then you can not deny that if a person is gay it is because god decided he would be gay.
“Yet ALL is of God” (II Cor. 5:18)
“…Who works [‘operates’] ALL THINGS after the counsel of His own will” (Eph. 1:11).
“For OF Him, and THROUGH Him, and TO Him, are ALL THINGS…” (Rom. 11:36).
how can you deny the word of your god?

did you find a scripture that says yet all is NOT of God?

if you think it is a sin or evil to a homosexual then you should speak to God because he seems to have made us the way we are…one of honor and one for dishonor.

“…has not the Potter [God] the right… to make… one [vessel] for DISHONOR?” (Rom. 9:19-25).

“O Lord, why have You MADE us TO ERR from your ways…” (Isa. 63:17).

“The Lord has made…the WICKED for the day of EVIL” (Prov. 16:4).

“O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself. It is not in man that walks to direct his steps” (Jer. 10:23).

I guess you gotta believe that word of god and admit that if a person is gay, apparently, god made them the way they are. not only did he cause them to do what they do, he actually thinks he appointed a time when they became gay and do gay things.

] “To every thing there is a season [appointed time],and a time to every purpose [matter or event] under the heaven” (Ecc. 3:1).

“…for He has appointed a time for every matter, and for every work…” (The New Revised Standard Version).

“For He has set a season for every event and for every deed…” (The Concordant Literal Old Testament).

just so you know, evil is not going to happen if the lord has not done it.

“…shall there be EVIL in a city, and the Lord has not done it?” (Amos 3:6).

“What? Shall we receive good at the hand of God and shall we not receive EVIL” (Job 2:10).

however, i would suggest that christian go back to supporting those that took us to war based on lies which killed millions and the torture that followed. they are the ones that claim to be moral and yet never made a sound when it all took place. they even re-elected the people that made it all happen. Jesus would be proud
