Showing up, getting a ballot, and only marking the people you truly can get behind, leaving the rest blank. If that leaves you with a ticket which is completely blank, so be it. What this does is give everyone you didn't vote for a lower percentage of the total vote. You are in effect saying "I dislike you so much I want to go on the record as not voting for you." If everyone voted this way, how embarassing would it be (for the candidates) to collect all the ballots, and discover that out of millions of voters, only 10% voted for X and 17% voted for Y, the rest deciding that they both suck! I think it would make a great protest campaign, if someone would organize it. Vote! You have no excuse to not show up and turn in your symbolic blank ticket of complete and utter disapproval!
